Four years since the release of his last full length album, Berlin-born DJ and producer Fritz Kalkbrenner has made his return to music with his most ambitious and artistically refined album to date. Third Place, Kalkbrenner’s seventh studio album, takes listeners on a musical journey, combining his soulful vocals with genre-blending productions that touch on house, techno, breakbeat and dance-pop. Building on the success of his Gold and Platinum-certified hits, Third Place pushes deeper into the emotional and sonic territories that have cemented Kalkbrenner’s place in the global electronic music scene since his 2010 debut, while remaining firmly rooted in the pulse of the dancefloor.
Drawing inspiration from the sociological idea of the third place, where creativity and community come together, this musical achievement offers more than just a listening experience. Crafting a seamless balance between euphoric highs and introspective moments, the album embodies the freedom and emotional release found in clubs and other third spaces. Kalkbrenner invites us into a world of intimate shared settings where we can reconnect with ourselves and merge with the energy of others. His rhythms and melodies act as a universal language, bringing us together in a shared musical experience.
At the heart of the album, the main single “Into the Night” uplifts listeners with its Chicago house chords and dynamic grooves, perfectly capturing the euphoria of club culture. Alongside it, “The Telepath,” another pre-release, pairs nostalgic warehouse vibes with driving breakbeats, offering a taste of the energy he brings to his energetic live sets. An additional and highly anticipated moment on the album is the track “Playing Games,” featuring singer Coach Harrison, marking a defining collaboration that is sure to resonate with audiences.
Of course, Fritz Kalkbrenner is no stranger to success. He first rose to international fame alongside his brother Paul in 2013, with their global hit "Sky & Sand". The song didn’t just become a chart-topping success, staying in the German charts for an astounding 129 weeks—it defined a generation, transcending the boundaries of electronic music and becoming a cultural touchstone in Germany. Since then, Fritz Kalkbrenner has continued to leave his mark, performing at some of the world’s biggest festivals, venues and landmarks, including Awakenings, Electric Brixton, Lollapalooza, Melt, Osheaga, Pukkelpop, Rock am Ring, and an iconic set at the Great Wall of China.
With over a decade of experience as a leading figure in both the mainstream and underground electronic scene, Third Place is set to be Kalkbrenner’s best musical accomplishment yet.

With him singing on „Get a Life” or „Little by Little” Fritz Kalkbrenner created singles which made their way to radio. It took him two more years for his next Top 10 album „Ways over Water” and his single success „Back Home” which got massive airplay and reached the German Top 20. He came back to Berlin after many live shows with lots of ideas to do new music which got released in 2016 as „Grand Départ”. Out on Suol the 4th album went again Top 10 and put him in the top league of electronic music artists. After impressive TV broadcasts Fritz needed a new direction. He headed back to underground House music which resulted in the epic 2018 „Drown” album. This led to the next step for Fritz Kalkbrenner by starting his own label „Nasua Music” early 2019.
